This is a stunning vineyard with a picturesque landscape and an inviting atmosphere. The private lunch experience is highly recommended. We had the bacalhau which was perfectly cooked, tender and flaky, and was accompanied by salad and smashed potatoes.
The wine pairing at was also exceptional, with a range of wines that complement the food beautifully. Quinta do Crasto is famous for its Port and Douro wines as well as olive oils
We must make a return trip this time with a group of friends in tow
Quinta do Crasto is hands down the best winery to visit in the Douro valley. We visited from the USA for a couple days and stayed in Pinhao. I had initially inquired about the lunch tasting experience but didn't act quickly enough to confirm it before it filled up. They squeezed us in for a tasting during the morning and we're glad they did. From tasting wine across 10 different Quinta's on our trip they made and the grounds were equally as beautiful. I would focus your visit on all the great dry wines they make. The Rose was fantastic and quite affordable up to the many different award winning Red's. Don't think twice about booking lunch or a tasting at Quinta do Crasto.
Nice tour and very informative tour - the tour guide had extensive knowledge on wine and the winemaking process. Really interesting to get insights on behind the scenes of the vineyard. Definitely take some time and enjoy the view after your tour/tasting!
Being from British Columbia we didn't understand tastings were by appointment. We just landed a few hours earlier and were "Bingo" wine! We politely "crashed" a tasting in progress, and were welcomed by all. I found it informative, but it was clear that discussion was limited to "anything Crasto". It was fun and we happily re-invested our (dodged) tasting fee (and them some) at the wine shop. Beautiful setting, especially at harvest time.
Outstanding vineyard with fantastic wines, beautiful views of the Douro river and amazing food
We had an amazing time at Quinta do Crasto! A very nice guide toured us through the extremely beautiful property and served 7 different types of wines for us to try. We even got to hang by the pool with our full glasses and a cheese platter.
We go up there with a funny truck. Interesting visit of the winery. The view on the Douro river is like amazing.
The service and restaurant including good wine is just like a very good experience - I fully recommend.
Amazing mid-sized but still family-owned winery. Their wines are amazing and still good value for money. The views from here are breathtaking! And finally, the tour guide was super nice and tailored the tour to what we wanted to know. Would definitely recommend
